Mat Care & Maintenance

How To Care For Your Americo Home Mat

Designed to be both beautiful and functional, Americo Home mats require little to no special care. Most stains or debris can easily be removed with warm water or a shake. For more difficult stains, mild soap and water or a vacuum can be used. Detailed cleaning instructions for each mat can be found below.

DO NOT stand on the mat in “stiletto” type high-heeled shoes. These sharp heels can potentially damage the surface of the mat.

DO NOT clean with any substance or product other than water, mild soap and a damp sponge or cloth.

DO NOT place furniture on mat. Permanent indentions on mat may occur.

DO NOT use the mat in wet environments or step on the mat with wet feet. This mat is not intended for use in wet areas. The surface of the mat may be slippery when your feet are wet.

DO NOT let water collect under the mat. While our mats are mildew resistant, moisture or liquid that becomes trapped under your mat may cause staining or mildew to develop.

CHECK under your mat(s) periodically.
